I stayed with a friend on New Years 2018 DISPITE the horrible reviews i had read. One of the casinos wanted a grand per night!!! This motel only charged $125. I was pleasantly surprised!! There was a hair dryer, microwave, and fridge. Everything was clean. The bed ( a king) was really comfortable. I would recommend it!!!

Not sure where those complaining stayed because I've been coming here for quite awhile and have never seen a qbug. The rooms are not only clean...they're cozy. Hand towels folded into flowers....original pictures on the wall..not those tacky lighthouses that alll others seem to have. . And perhaps most importantly for some, the prices are not only fair. They average about 50% less than others.. The staff is wonderful, by the way. Stay here once and give them a chance.

My husband and I stayed here July 4th week 2017. We were on the second floor. We were pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean and big. The front desk man was very nice. The breakfast in the morning was still serving at 10:30 when we left, not the close at 9am deal like most hotels. The frig was bigger than usual. The place was very quiet and you could tell that they were making update to the rooms. I would stay again when I'm in that area.

The rooms aren't anything special but the people who work there really try to make it a good experience. The owners have put a lot of work in restoring and adding to make up to date. Like I said it's not anything special but the workers are good people and will do anything in there power to help. I recently had to stay as I waited for an apartment. I explained my situation and even on the busiest of days they kept the room at minimal rice they were getting 3 times more some nights but they didn't change my rate not 1 penny. I can't thank the flagship and its staff enough for working with me and my family in our time of need. I would definitely recommend the flagship to anyone looking for a solid place at a very reasonable price. I seen people give a 2 or 3 because of breakfast, but they more than accommodate for the type of breakfast they advertise. It isn't a five star hotel like the Ritz, but it 5 star for its amenities and services provided for the price. The internet is lacking a bit. I don't think it's there fault the Worker at the front desk said the routers and expanders were located in the basement so sometimes internet is crappy. Hopefully they read this and have them relocated. Over all its a good place and worth the money.

My recent stay at the Flagship Inn and Suites in Groton, Connecticut was like a nostalgic visit to the motels of my family vacations as a kid in the sixties! As we arrived about 10 p.m. on a warm September night, I heard the excited voices of several children playing in the motel’s outdoor pool. Nowadays, it doesn’t seem like many people take time-out to enjoy the simple pleasures that motels have to offer. The motel manager greeted us with a smile and was very pleasant to chat with. She told us about the free breakfast buffet as she gave me our digital room key. BTW, the breakfast included a variety of cereals, oatmeal, yogurt, eggs, sausage, muffins (which I combined the last three items to make my own version of an Egg McMuffin), coffee, milk, juice, toast and more. While the room was nothing out of the ordinary, it was clean, comfortable and had a newly renovated bathroom. One sign of a motel that may be treating their guests well is a full parking lot. I walked around this two-story building and noticed that every parking space was occupied. If you’re in the Groton, Connecticut area and need a budget motel, this one is worthy of your consideration.

I have to rate this place a one star. The rooms are small and dirty, the service is poor, and your possessions in your room are not safe. I stayed here a few weeks ago and when I was out of my room I had a bag and a blue tooth speaker of mine stolen. When I spoke to management they were of no help at all. If you stay here make sure you do not leave any possessions unattended in your room, they'll be gone.

Amazing experience for the price. No roaches in room, no donut under the bed, no hookers yelling outside, running water, 3 channels on TV (with good shows, too), extremely friendly service, clean, comfy bed, only faint piss smell. The continental breakfast was lacking, the coffee wasn't great, but they had hot cocoa to make up for it. The rest of these reviews do not do this motel justice, if you are looking for a place to stay the night and rest your head, this motel is no worse than any other.

My husband and I drove up from Florida for a custody case so we found a fairly cheap hotel as we were only there for sleeping. I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. It was spacious, clean, didn't smell like smoke as I anticipated from reading other post and no bugs! It did However have a slight mold smell from what seemed to be water damage to the ceiling. Or the simple fact it is an old building. No shady characters hanging around. We pulled into two older women outside enjoying the weather. One was walking the parking lot with her walker. Breakfast could use an upgrade but if I ever need to go back I will.
